Miss America in Las Vegas

Man, what a tough assignment. Spending a weekend in Las Vegas with all the Miss America contestants....sometimes I just can't handle this job! The main reason we covered Miss America was because of Miss Utah Jill Stevens. She started out as Miss Southern Utah University, right here in Cedar City, before becoming Miss Utah. What a great story. Not only is she an amazing person, but she is also an American soldier and served her country in Afghanistan. So I decided to follow her around with a camera for a few months leading up to the Miss America pageant. She ended up in the top 16 after being named "America's Choice," but unfortunately her night would end there. Instead of posting all the photos, here's the final multimedia piece for the story:
